Build a potted stained glass flower
This class is designed for people WITH prior experience in stained glass.
If you do not have experience doing stained glass, please register for the other workshop with no experience required:
In this course you will make a flower using the copper foil method. At the end of the class students have the option of permanently "planting" the flower in a terracotta pot with fake moss, or taking it home as-is to stick into an existing planter or garden.
A brief overview of the instructions will be given, but no detailed instructions will be reviewed as students will be required to have prior experience doing stained glass.
Students will have two different flower patterns to choose from as well as a wide selection of coloured glass to build their project out of. Flowers will be soldered to a thick wire that sticks out of the bottom so it can be secured in a pot or planted in dirt.
At the end of the course you will have a completed flower that is 5" tall.
It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water and to tie your hair back if you have long hair.
All materials are included in the course cost.
Due to space limitations, this class is limited to 6 participants.
This class is designed for adults so if you have a child that would like to join the class please contact us in advance to see if they can be accommodated.
You will be working with glass and lead. Expect a few cuts. This class should not be taken by anyone that is pregnant as lead may cause birth defects.
