Info Desk Associate

This role encompasses all reception related activities at the MakerLabs front desk. We're looking for someone to support the day to day operations of the space and its teams, including shipping and receiving, client communication, tool lending, and customer service. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and in person inquiries

  • Know all of MakerLabs' policies and procedures

  • Process payments related to membership, fabrication, rentals, orientations, and materials

  • Process shipping and receiving (lift up to 40lbs)

  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed

  • Coordinate tool checkouts

  • Assist Community Managers with daily tasks

  • Assist members with troubleshooting the laser cutter and answer basic digital fabrication questions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Must have proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
