Digital fabricator internship/co-op

MakerLabs is accepting applications for a Digital Fabricator. We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, self-starter to work with our fabrication and community teams.

This position is well suited for makers, engineering students, or any students looking to bolster their professional and creative skill set. We hire for personality as well as experience and will happily train the right candidate.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Learn how to make almost anything

    • Maintain the organization of the Labs and their tools

    • Assist members and fabricators with projects

    • Possess a working knowledge of tools and equipment

    • Know all of MakerLabs' policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

    • 12-9pm availability for a minimum of 3 days per week

    • Knowledge of vector-based drawing and 3D modelling software (programming knowledge an asset)

    • Computer literate; can adapt to new software systems quickly

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong organization skills with attention to detail

    • Experience working independently and in small teams

    • Ability to complete projects within tight deadlines
